Chelsea began her hairdressing career in 2001, and has practiced her craft around the world, in Greece, London, and Melbourne.

Inspired by her desire to create a space that shook up the traditional idea of a mainstream salon, Eye Am Hair and Nancy the copper caravan was born in 2018.

Chelsea is our OG curly girl, and she wanted to create an inclusive space for our beloved curly haired clients- a niche that was severely lacking in the hairdressing industry. Driven by her own experiences growing up as a curly girl, combined with her love of hairdressing and her bespoke caravan salon, Chelsea turned her specialty curly hair salon dreams into reality in October 2020 when Eye Am Curls and Rusty the iron clad caravan was launched.

Chelsea has hand picked her dream team and trained all the Curl Specialists in Curly Hair Cutting, Colouring and Styling Methods which she learnt at The Deva Curl Academy in New York and has adapted this methodology to create techniques that are customised to the individual resulting in textured hair mastery like you’ve never seen before.

Chelsea is not currently bookable, however when you select an appointment on a Thursday with an Emerging Stylist, your service will be overseen by Chelsea as part of the Eye Am Hair training program for apprentices.

Dorris Pessy

Master Hairdresser/Curl Expert

If you feel like stepping out of your comfort zone, Dorris is your person. Dorris focuses on creativity when it comes to hairstyles, straight or curly. Dorris uses a different approach to your hair’s issues and an artistic point of view when it comes to style.

Dorris loves doing Mystery Manes, expressive colours, hair tattoos, braids and hair-updos. If you’re a curly, it’s your lucky day, she will help guide you on your curly journey every step of the way!

Dorris is incredibly versatile, if you are up for good fun and giggle or silent and relaxing session, she is all for it. 

Rebecca Trollip

Master Hairdresser/Curl Expert

Bec started hairdressing way back in 2001 and has been on top of her game ever since. Working both internationally at prestigious salons around the globe and in Australia as an educator, Bec now calls Tassie home and Eye Am Hair her creative space.

See Bec for some laid-back vibes and cutting-edge techniques. She can create classic looks or edgier styles- whatever you fancy really! She's an absolute gun and can expertly handle any curly haired client too!

Give her a mystery haircut and she rises to the challenge with her intuitive way of working out the best style for the person in her chair.

Eli Jones

Specialist Stylist

Eli is an out-of-left-field, extroverted creative. She is a lover of big hair, big lashes, laughing, gardening, cross stitch, leopard print, reading, chickens, dogs, painting and drawing. 

Eli has been a hairdresser for 21 years and is still so deeply in love with the art of doing hair. She started her apprenticeship in 2000 training under the best in the business, and has won multiple awards, traveling Australia working on shoots for magazines and national competitions. Eli spent the next decade working full time in high end salons in Hobart.

Eli loves creating bespoke colours, haircuts, and styles for events, she enjoys timeless classic cuts; tweaking them to let the individual shine through. Eli is very passionate about the individual client comfort and experience, and being part of a safe, intersectional inclusive space for all. 

Luna Telechea

Senior Stylist

Luna, a skilled hairdresser with roots in Uruguay and a journey that led her from Spain to Australia. With over a decade of experience, Luna has explored the diverse realms of Australian hairstyling, learning from eclectic salons, barbershops, and fashion environments across the country.

What sets Luna apart is her passion for helping clients embrace their true hair nature. She believes in making hairstyling both effective and enjoyable, always prioritising authenticity.

Luna's mission goes beyond the salon chair – she empowers clients with knowledge, teaching them to care for and style their hair with confidence. Step into Luna's world, where hairstyling is not just a profession but a pathway to self-expression and empowerment.

Charli Malmborg

Senior Hairdresser

Charli is a talented and compassionate hairdresser who also runs a jewellery business from her home studio.

With her extensive experience and nurturing demeanor, Charli brings a unique touch to her clients' experiences. Charli values individuality and strives to create styles that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical and easy to maintain. Her expertise in creative cutting, coupled with her ability to work with natural hair textures, ensures that her clients leave feeling confident and satisfied. The range of hairstyles she enjoys creating reflects her versatility and willingness to adapt to her clients' preferences while also incorporating current trends and techniques.
